I'm a list maker from way back.  I LOVE a good list. I make lists for everything just because I enjoy the structure, the organization it gives me and my little brain.  Other list makers surely understand what I mean.  I kept a list of every movie I watched last year (124 movies! though only 7 were in a theater). I keep lists of places I've traveled, digital scrapbooking elements, and so on - and yeah, I do keep a grocery list! :)

Over on Daisy Yellow, Tammy shared her list of books she wants to read for 2014.  Since I'm an avid reader, I have all sorts of books lists - every (mostly) book I've read for the last 15 years or so, a list approaching 900 books I still want to read (I swear I take books off the list every year but there's just so many good books out there!), lists of award winners, etc.

I love a good murder/courtroom drama book, but I read a wide range of genres - if you've got a favorite author or book, do share.  I'll add it to my list! :)

Here's what I read in 2013:
The Remains by Vincent Zandri
Collage Discovery Workshop by Claudine Hellmuth
Ireland by Frank Delaney (excellent)

If you even skimmed over this list, you're likely a reader too.......if you want more info about any of these or some recommendations of my favorite books, just let me know - I love to share!

  1. I've read 2 from your list - Divergent (movie coming out in March) - have yet to read the 3rd altho I just got it for Xmas - and Sarah's Key which I loved (disturbing but so well written)
I have a few to read from your list but there are a good many that aren't on my list. And I so agree with you - I have sooo many lists of books to read. Now I'll have more!
If you like a good mystery series try Louise Penny's the Gamache series. Loved all of the books, but the last 2 were wonderful.

  2. I love murder/courtroom drama books too so it surprises me a bit that I've read only a couple on your list. I haven't kept track before, other than sporadic Goodreads updates, but I just started an Excel chart with a bunch of lists on it cause I love them too. Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. I've read one book on your list and reviewed it: Collage Discovery Workshop by Claudine Hellmuth. I need to read more, I guess!

BTW, I love all those collages and applaud you for completing that challenge. Way to go!

  4. My, you have been busy. Dunno how you find time to read so much.

That's a great list, alot to check out. I will say that Prodigal Summer was one of my favorites reads....Got 5 books waiting to crack now. Reading Tatiana by Martin Cruz Smith. HIs newest. I've read all the others. xox

  6. I'm right there with you with the list love. I'm currently reading "The Burgess Boys" by Elizabeth Strout and liking it quite a lot.

  7. I started a list of my books last year but it got too long--I go through books like water. Love seeing your list. Knowing we both like mysteries I'm looking forward to pulling some good ones out of here. xx

Thanks so much for taking the time to add a comment. I value what you think!
