Celebrating joyous, blissful, happy occurrences this week (hosted by Liv at Liv Lane):

Memorial Day weekend was filled with wonderful, happy-making times: played cards with friends Friday night, had a lazy, relaxing day Saturday (those are in short supply sometimes) and we enjoyed a little Seattle sunbathing!, friends over Sunday for brunch and to watch the Indy 500 (my hubby is from Indianapolis so this is an annual event) and then Monday was another quiet, restful, peaceful day.  That's a whole week of pleasure right there!  Rested.


I went to the little farmer's market in my community and picked up some stunning peonies (mine are barely out of the ground) and some fragrant, delicious, all natural, homemade fogoza bread for dinner.  Yummy.

I'm excited about a new site started by Karen to swap mail art and other paper art (Mail Me Some Art) - I adore people who have the inclination to organize the rest of us and give us an outlet for sharing our art. Go ahead, sign up.  Excited.

My best friend arrives today to spend the weekend.  We have a morning of thrifty shopping and an evening of stamping and making cards planned.  Anticipation.

My house is clean and tidy (cuz I cleaned it up for my friend's visit) and I love it when it's all sparkly clean!  Ready.

Briefly sharing my happy moments this week:

Took on some new tasks at work - always love to learn something new.  Challenging.

Rearranged and cleaned out my art room.  It SO needed it and now my work desk takes advantage of the natural light and I added more storage and countertop space.  I got lots of time to work in my journal this week.  Happy.  (see upcoming before/after shots)

Sent out my postcards for the IA swap and can't wait to start getting mine in return.  Creative.

Seeing plants I planted for summer flowers start to bud.  Anticipation.

For the last couple months I've read Lorinda's (Everyday Endeavors) Friday bliss lists and thought it such a nice way to stay in touch with the good things that happened to her during the week.  In my blog wanderings this week, I came across another participant which finally prompted me to click through to the party held by Liv.  

My first Friday bliss/happy list includes:

1.  A big envelope filled with delicious papers for arting from my first swap through swap-bot.com - textures, colorful, a Japanese graphic book, some stickers and more.  I can't wait to start playing with all the goodies..

2.  A couple of 65 degree day in Seattle - things are blooming and it didn't rain every day this week!

3.  I made some plans with my best friend to have a crafting night at a local stamp store.  She lives out of town but will drive in for the weekend, a workshop, some crafting, and lots of friend hugs.  Can't wait to see her.

4.  Hubby got some good news at work which will make his job much easier - that means we're happier at home too!

5.  More mail happiness arrived yesterday - a beautiful handmade postcard from Lorinda (yes, she of bliss list inspiration).  I love it;  thanks so much!
