365/2 continues

I promised more journal pages and here they are - it's about all the art I'm doing right now since they have to be ready to gift for Christmas.  Yikes, WHAT was I thinking to try to get 4 of these puppies made?????

365/2 continuing progress

My main art accomplishments lately are more pages in the gratitude journals I'm making and they're keeping me on my 365 project path.....

Here's one where I cut a random curved edge to the paper then doodled to follow the shape - the other side of the page is below. (I used my computer to kinda draw the edge, hence the ugly black wavy line - but you get the idea, right? each of the top petals is cut out)

Scrapbook paper for Valentine's week.

Splattered some watercolors then doodled hearts. Another version below.

Had a little watercolor overun from the other side along the edges.  Oh well...... art happens!

still busy

I know I haven't posted any 365/2 photos lately but that doesn't mean I'm not working on it.  I'm busily making journals for Christmas gifts and just haven't taken the time to scan each page.  Rather than flood my blog with pics of all those pages, I'll just share a representative smattering here. Maybe when they're done, I'll show more......  I also finished up some gelli print pages for a swap.....here's a sampling.....

Using a new stencil from Crafter's Workshop (got it on sale on Blitsy site).

The journal pages are 6x9" and a mixture of bristol paper, watercolor paper, scrapbook paper, cardstock, etc.  Most of the color is added with my Inktense pencils and softened with a water brush. Inking done with Micron pens - a few computer generated pages.

When I use scrapbook paper, I add a solid journaling square to make it easy to write their thoughts.

This is a combo computer page (font & hearts) and hand doodling at the bottom.

I'll share a few more journal page samples in a few days.  Stay tuned.......

Hanna has posted the new theme for this month:  street art, or what you see as you walk your urban environment.  Hanna loves graffiti and has documented some great images showing artsy graffiti.  I have a little of that but I find architectural details artistic and love to document that in my wanders through a city.  Why don't you join us by browsing through your stash of photos and see what you have that fits the theme "street art"?
