Vintage photography is the theme for this week's Inspiration Avenue challenge. I don't own any vintage cameras and certainly can't draw/paint one, so I took the path of using a couple of photos I have of my parents before they were married. I made a simple mini-collage, used some PSE actions, framed it and have something I really like. I wish they were still alive to see and enjoy it.
This is wonderful Terrie, I especially love the vintage heart, beautifully done.

Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteStay inspired!
Lovely piece and a great tribute to your Mom and dad! Valerie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful LO, so special. x
ReplyDeleteSweet, nostalgic piece, Terrie. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is incredible. The photo of your parents is wonderful, very vintage-y, and worthy of the IA challenge this week. I am always in awe of digital creations, so this is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLet me get your question straight. You are asking about the page to reinforce, other than the first page in the book. That first page should have a page glued to it. The glued page will be smaller (not as wide) as the other pages. Have I lost you? I hope not. The reverse of the glued page is part (or one) of the signature pages. That is the page you reinforce. You reinforce the BACK of the glued page and the page next to it. You might be able to see it in my photos. If not, ask again, and I will gladly try to walk you through it in pictures.
If your AB is up to date, you should ONLY add the photos that show you removed pages from your book and whatever supplies you have set aside for the book. That link is for LESSON 2. The link that will be available on Sunday is the one that you should use to add your niche and end papers. Some people have jumped the gun and want to be the first in line. However, it makes it difficult for those of us who are trying to stay on track. Sunday night I'm going to ask that everyone respect the challenge by posting only the PREVIOUS, not the current lesson. So I hope you will wait and show your up to date AB Sunday night.
Such a sweet vintage collage!
ReplyDeleteI can see where you get your lovely jaw (Dad) and warm eyes from (Mom)! What a beautiful piece Terrie. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tribute to your parents, as well as the people who braved WWII and gave service to their countries.
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful, nostalgic and personal piece - great work Terrie :)
DeleteYou parents are such a handsome couple! And I love the background that looks like handmade paper, and the 2 hearts!
