My recipe:
I combine 2 photos of mine:
Then I added a couple of textures:
Frosted Glass Bokeh by Shadowhouse (Skeletal Mess) (vivid light 38%)
a grunge vignette by Shadowhouse (soft light 73%)
a little grunged edge erasing
butterfly scanned from some novelty wrapping paper
I'm still not accomplishing the look or feeling I want with my digi art stuff, but I sure like playing around. The problem (well, not really) is that time just flies and before I know it I've spent hours in front of the computer fiddling and adjusting and trying different textures to see what happens. OMG, I'm so addicted.

Hello my name is Bonnie, and I am a photo-editing addict ... :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this composition! The background made from your photograph is gorgeous! What is it? I, too, love taking a couple of photographs and creating something entirely new with them. Your work makes me want to go and do it right now! Thanks for sharing with Photo Art Friday, Terrie.
Terrie that's such a lovely combination of photographs and added effects enhance them further. Don't we just get side-tracked 'playing' with graphics; such fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, so creative and it's worked so beautifully :)

Very nice indeed. I like the "mini" cairn which really goes well with the water background. Wonderful processing and composite. Thank you, kareninkenai

ReplyDeleteWonderful photo! Valerie
ReplyDeleteA wonderful work. You create some Art work.
ReplyDeletelove the composition with the 2 strong curved lines of shadow and stones. It really is addictive and a time eater - but so satisfying
ReplyDeleteLove your creation!
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
ReplyDeleteLove the precariously placed stones, and they add so much to the combination.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely. I love the mixture of the two photos and the textures. Very unique.
ReplyDeleteI share in your addiction - and obviously yours is paying off! superb rendering!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! You're making me want to start playing around with photo art myself.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, when I first saw the image I thought it was a painting, it's great, I am in the beginning stages of combining my work, great to connect, very inspiring work. Stay blessed, Amanda

That is a cool addiction to have... I am still a touch digital phobic... but these make me want to jump in... loving the daily visit Terri xx
ReplyDeleteHi Terrie,
ReplyDeleteYes, this is so addictive!! Your photo art makes me think of a summer day at the ocean, walking along the beach collecting stones and shells.
I am starting to think that I have better results when I don't have any preconceived ideas about what I want the end result to look like. I seem to have better luck if I start with a fairly decent image and just start to PLAY! Keep on creating!
I'm fascinated by your digital collage, your recipe and technique. This is something I know nothing about and the result is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi, I love your image, thanks so much for showing your recipe, that sure helps those of us who are 'techcially challenged' to think about trying something new.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Suzanne
A wonderful combination. I'm intrigued with totems and this one is so beautiful with the background and the addition of the butterfly.
ReplyDeleteYour finished piece is just brilliant. I love the butterfly, it's as if he lives in the water... lovely:)

Beautiful! I love this idea of combining photographs, and the texture really adds something wonderful (although the photos were pretty amazing to start!). Something I would like to try.
