This page was a total experiment. Carla Sonheim suggests making random paint dribbles and marks and then letting your imagination turn those shapes into something that you see - kind of like rorschach tests. While she encourages imaginary animals, I saw flowers and then had this great quote just waiting for the right art.
Beautiful pieces and wonderful lettering! Ah, sun....would be nice wouldn't it.
ReplyDeletePretty sunny in Seattle on these pages, we were grey on the other side of the country if it makes you feel any better....xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteFantastic journal pages, Terrie!
ReplyDeletelove the second one... looks like my garden which probably means it is time to get weeding and thinning... love the bright colour palette in both though, they look decidedly summery...trace xx

ReplyDeleteYou're so talented Terrie and take you talents in so many interesting directions. I love the second one!! You inspire me to create an art journal ...
ReplyDeleteBoth are great nods to the sun. I like that particular John Denver song!
ReplyDeleteLove the exuberant response to the IA challenge. For some reason I had a hard time finding this page - thus I'm late commenting.
