Summer = sunshine, palm trees swaying, turquoise colored water in the Caribbean or Tahiti (I didn't even have to pull out my photos to remember those colors!)
I wanted to try each orientation and different sky ideas. Plus one is 'sandy' and one is 'grassy' :)
You can see more great artwork at the PPF (Paint Party Friday) linkups.

ReplyDeletehi Miss I'll try anything,, (I love that, ) I too am joining the paint party and I love that you journal through your art, beautiful,, best wishes from Ontario Canada.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a place I would love to be right now. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love the loose nature of these paintings! Happy PPF! And by the way, you commented you would be too scared to go to a retreat like that. You would be happy to know, that most of us were nervous and many were trying to think up ways to cancel the night before - but it was the most amazing experience ever. Don't be intimidated! And on switching the paintings, do you know what the person who got my painting did? She painted over it completely. With black. And created the most amazing painting when she was done. I was totally ok with it, I had a new piece to work with, that one was gone!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... I love the peeks into paradise! (I can almost forget about the constant rain here! ha!)
ReplyDeleteI think the looseness of your watercolor is wonderful :)

ReplyDeleteSummery indeed. I can almost feel the salty air.
ReplyDeleteAbout my cross stitch piece, 15 years is the total time but some years the dragon slept in his bag. By now I think it added to the legend. :D
These are so pretty. Like the addition of the ink.
ReplyDeleteOh, how calming! LOVE the combination of the ink with the watercolor. It's a beautiful effect. Gorgeous work!
ReplyDeletei love ink and watercolour together and you've definitely succeeded with the looseness you wanted to achieve in these lovely exotic pieces!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who is just starting to become more familiar with watercolors, I admire everyone who creates something as beautiful as you did with that medium. I like the second one a bit better because it gives me the impression that the ocean is roaring unto shore. I can almost hear the music of the ocean.
ReplyDeleteI wanna go to the beach! Thanks for sharing and HAPPY PPF!
ReplyDeleteFun pages. Loose and free, which is perfect for the beach.
ReplyDeleteTerrie: wish I was there ... very, very, nice! If I close my eyes I can hear the breeze blowing through the palm leaves ... oops ... open my eyes and I'm still here in CT. Found you at PPF, glad I did!
